RSL 1: RSL 1 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers with high heat resistance. It maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Its low wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races. Applications include GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well. RSL 2: RSL 2 is based on the RSL 1 compound but has been further improved in terms of pad and disc life as well as friction stability vs. temperature. It is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers. Furthermore, it maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Applications include GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to excellent modulation characteristics often also used in sprint races. RSL 29: The PAGID RS29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsport. The racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the RS14, A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Nevertheless, the friction value is enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1,100°F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races. Pagid RS29 with a very similar friction coefficient to RS19 with improvements in initial bite offering quicker response and slightly more temperature stable at the upper levels of the temperature range. Developments in raw material selection and compounding have resulted in improvements also in pedal feel and feedback, helping with modulation particularly on lighter applications. This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels, only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. Another favourite with endurance racers having won many classes at all major endurance events, such as Le-Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Due to the exceptional pad life and very low wear on brake discs it has been possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or discs. Able to withstand slightly higher disc temperatures than RS19, this has proved more suitable for applications running very high disc temperatures. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Suitable for applications in heavy cars and where high torque is necessary against small diameter rotors. RST 2: RST 2 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Applications include Rally tarmac, GT cars and Touring cars circuit racing and NASCAR. Also used as rear pad in combination with RST 1 front. Recommended for GT and Touring Car racing on tracks where higher temperatures are an issue. RST 3: RST 3 is a medium-high friction metal-ceramic compound containing steel fibers and is therefore the perfect complement of the RST product family. It captivates by its low heat conductivity. Applications include Rally tarmac and gravel, GT cars, Touring cars and prototype circuit racing, formula cars and club racing. RST 3 suits a wide range of applications due to it‘s combination of bite, friction and controllability. RST 4: RST 4 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. This material has a medium friction level and high temperature resistance. Applications include formula cars and open wheel racing. Rear axle material for Rally (tarmac and gravel) and for all front engine cars. Also used in NASCAR on long ovals.

RS 14: The PAGID RS14 (Black) is a high friction value ceramic compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a constant temperature of 650 degrees Celsius (1202 degrees Fahrenheit). It is kind on discs, (with visible grooving, but no tendency to crack discs). RS14 is our most popular ceramic based friction material. Compared to RS4-2 this compound offers a good increase in initial bite and average torque, it has very good modulation characteristics and offers good control against wheel lock at all temperatures. While showing a reduction in pad wear, particularly at high temperatures it is still very easy in terms of disc wear and shows a reduction in surface stress fractures. RS14 will also tolerate much higher working disc temperatures than RS4-2 extending further the fade resistance. RS14 is also used as an OEM material and supplied as an up-graded track day pad by Lotus Motorsport department. It has been shown to exhibit the most suitable level of braking force, control and modulation on popular track day cars such as Lotus Elise and Caterham. Offering consistent levels of performance and a much longer life than competitors products, without excessive disc wear while offering the driver supreme confidence. Outside the track day environment RS14 has also shown success in short to medium distance circuit racing as well as gravel and tarmac rallying. RS14 offer very low heat conductivity which allows less thermal transfer from disc through pad, thus resulting in lower caliper and brake fluid temperatures which can have a critical effect on ultimate brake performance.
