This device is capable of creating sound that is loud enough to cause harm. Please use caution while using the Trac-Com V4  Connecting Headsets:  Insert the male connector found on the Trac-Com accessory into either female port on top of the Trac-Com V4, making sure to line up the notch on the male connector with the indentation on the female port.  To disconnect a headset, press and hold the black button on the male connector while pulling it out of the unit.  Dual Battery System - Overview:  The Trac-Com V4 is equipped with a Dual Battery System  The Internal Battery is a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, rechargeable Via USB C cable  This model is also compatible with a standard 9V battery, offering supplemental power.  The Trac-Com V4 can be powered exclusively using the internal battery without a 9V installed, reducing the weight and operating cost.  9V Battery Logic:  The Trac-Com V4 will default to using the 9V battery when installed. The readout will show 4 Bars of the full battery along with a 9V icon.  As the 9V drains, the bars will drop down to zero.  The system switches to the internal battery once the 9V battery is fully depleted. Each driver starts by connecting one chaser unit to their personal cell phone – it is important that the Chasers are paired one at a time to avoid accidentally pairing the wrong device. To initiate the pairing mode, hold down the power button for a few seconds. The device will appear on the BT pairing screen on the phone, laptop, or other device. Each driver then connects either a Trac-Com Student headset or an integrated helmet kit to their corresponding Chaser unit (optional adapter cable required for integrated kits). With both devices properly setup, the Student and Instructor will use the paired phones to communicate with a phone call or any other audio sharing application on their phone. There are many different uses for this product and your phone or computer is the limit. Units are not able to be paired together. Whats Included? The Lead / Follow Package includes two units (one for the student and one for the instructor), a USB charging cable, and adhesive velcro. How Do I Connect My Headset? All Trac-Com student headsets and Trac-Com adapter cables are compatible with the Trac-Com Chaser Bluetooth Communicator. There are a variety of adapter cables available including IMSA and STILO. The compact size works in every helmet we tried on. Earpiece wiring harness: Why do students pull the earpiece out by the wires? That is the question for the ages. SPEEDCOM changes how headsets are built by making the harness with a built-in molded plug. Other brands use the compression of the two speaker piece halves to hold the wire, but SPEEDCOM uses a wire that has the security block built into the harness during the manufacturing stage. Is this a more expensive way to build a headset? Certainly. Is it the better way to build a headset? Defiantly.
