High Performance Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors For Mercedes AMG
This Girodisc floating iron rotor system is a direct replacement for your AMG front OEM rotors. No modifications to your car are necessary. The 360mm diameter rotors will bolt directly to your Mercedes AMG and work with the original calipers perfectly.
The Girodisc front rotors are approximately 23.6 lbs vs. 34.5 lbs for the stock units. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response. When upgrading your original brakes with lightweight high performance iron replacements, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.
The central hat section of the Girodisc rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is drilled and slotted for incredible cooling, made from Girodisc's proprietary American-made cast iron and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The disc utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump forcing cooling air through the disc.
The disc and hat are joined by a floating mount system using 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. The drive pins bear the braking load while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side, allowing the rotor to grow with heat expansion while eliminating the rattle typically associated with floating rotors. A floating rotor will also self-center between the pads.
Once your Girodisc system is in place, you can simply replace the cast iron discs as needed.

Measuring Your Head
The most effective helmet is one that fits properly. To measure your head, have an assistant use a dressmaker's tape or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head. Start at a point about an inch above your eyebrows, looping around the back of your head at the point that results in the largest measurement, and finally around to the front again. It's a good idea to take two or three measurements to make sure you have the largest one.

The Forgeline GX3 Open Lug is a gorgeous custom made-to-order 3-piece performance wheel with an attractive mesh spoke design that was engineered for serious track duty. The GX3 Open Lug features Forgeline's “I-beamed” spoke technology to reduce weight while adding strength and rigidity and hidden ARP assembly hardware for a smooth clean appearance and faster/easier wheel cleaning. Plus the design of the center allows plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment.
The GX3 Open Lug is produced from precision-machined forged 6061-T6 aluminum centers combined with heat-treated rim shells. And just like any Forgeline wheel, the GX3 Open Lug offers fully-customizable fitment and finish, including center-lock applications.

COBB Adjustable Traction Control: Adjust target traction slip on the fly (Slots 1-8) and maximize tire grip to best suit given track conditions (wet/damp/dry/street/slip/burnout/etc). Note: Feature must be enabled in ECU calibration for use.
COBB Adjustable Launch Control: Adjust the factory launch control RPM to maximize the tire to pavement contact for that perfect launch. Note: Feature is only available on AP3-NIS-006 and AP3-NIS-008.

The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a 350mm 2-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The 2-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Thunderhill RF-1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheated or cracking PCCB rotors.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The 2-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs.
