The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc, they will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly.
The central hat section of the Girodisc rotor is made from strictly USA-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc's own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved-vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump forcing cool air through the disc.
The disc and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the US by Girodisc and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the loads from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. They are secured by class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers.
In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise springs on the disc side, allowing the iron disc to expand as it heats up while eliminating the rattle and noise commonly associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the brake pads.
Once the Girodisc system is in place, you simply replace the cast iron discs when needed. This reduces cost over time by allowing you to re-use the aluminum central hats.

MXS 1.3 Strada is a beautifully-designed, feature-rich color digital dash display. It is basically the MXS 1.3 without the datalogging function. The MXS 1.3 Strada features a compact 5" High Contrast TFT color screen with great visual impact, configurable to show lap times, RPM, and a huge range of info coming from your Engine Control Unit, analog/digital inputs, pre-defined math channels and an optional GPS08 Module. Programmable multicolor shift and alarm LEDs round out an incredibly powerful package. There's even a version with "Street Icon" LEDs instead of the traditional "plain" LEDs!
The MXS 1.3 Strada displays your RPM, selected gear, speed, plus all the data you choose (water temp, oil pressure, trans temp, lap times and much more) in either pre-configured or user-customized pages. Swapping between pages is as easy as pushing buttons. Plus the MXS 1.3 Strada puts a huge amount of control over your car's systems at your fingertips.
INPUT & OUTPUT FLEXIBILITY
Eight fully configurable analog input channels can sample, log, and display a wide range of temperatures, pressures, and potentiometers (throttle position, steering wheel position, etc). Choose between OBDII and CAN/RS232 versions to suit your needs and level of customization. Both receive rich data from your ECU.
An OBDII input connection is an easy, plug-and-play option. A hardwired CAN input allows you to further expand the dash by adding an almost limitless number of AiM CAN Data Hubs (Part No. MC-329, sold separately). These hubs let you connect other inputs such as Lambda Controller (O2), SmartyCam, or even channel expansion hubs, without using any analog channels. A separate CAN output allows you to send messages to your car's existing CAN network, adding to the vehicle system control possibilities!
ALARMS & SHIFT LIGHTS
The ten multicolored RGB shift lights can be customized to define the max RPM for each single gear. The same flexibility applies to the configurable RGB alarm LEDs: you can configure them to turn on/off depending on analog or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, math channels or GPS information (with the optional GPS08). You choose conditions, colors, and select a solid alarm or flashing one (including flash frequency). It's also possible to configure an accompanying text message.
DIGITAL OUTPUT
The MXS 1.3 Strada features a low-side (switch to ground) digital output that can be configured to activate/deactivate external systems (switch on/off additional lights, cooling fan relays, fluid circulation pumps, etc.) based on those inputs.
RACE STUDIO 3 INTEGRATION
MXS 1.3 Strada is configured using your PC and Race Studio 3. You can create, customize, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math Channels, Display Pages, Digital Output, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need.

When used with GiroDisc Magic Pads for the street, Pagid or PFC racing brake pads for the track, and Thunderhill RF-1 brake fluid (all available from Thunderhill), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The two-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.
