The GiroDisc system is a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The 2-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Giro Disc rotors are lighter than OEM pieces. The reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Thunderhill RF-1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.

The Girodisc system for the McLaren 650S or 570S is a direct replacement for the OEM carbon ceramic rotors. They use a different brake pad than the OEM carbon ceramic rotors, with an annulus (pad swept area) of 66mm or less. This is done to keep rotor weight low. (A steel/aluminum rotor with the same annulus as the OEM carbon ceramic rotors would be unnecessarily heavy.)
We recommend the Pagid 8081 racing brake pads for this Girodisc system, in either RS29 (endurance) or RS14 (sprint) compound.

The eight-spoke center-locking Forgeline GE1R represents the absolute latest in advanced wheel technology, including one-piece forged monoblock construction, motorsport engineered design, and I-beamed spokes and spans. It combines head-turning good looks with race-ready strength and durability.
The Forgeline GE1R is a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel that is 30% stiffer than the popular GS1R, minimizing wheel deflection under load for incredibly precise control. The concave eight-spoke design of the GE1R offers generous caliper clearance for large racing-brake fitments. Forgeline's computer-simulated FEA design process yields a wheel that is very lightweight and extremely stiff, with excellent fatigue strength.

The AR1 is an exciting evolution in Forgeline monoblock styling, with a very angular split spoke pattern, extra-deep concave profile, and radically-chamfered outer edge. The Forgeline AR1 is a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel that utilizes manufacturing technology similar to our very successful GA1R wheel. Beyond just beautiful style, the AR1 is engineered to allow plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment. And the one-piece monoblock forging, computer-simulated FEA design process, and I-beam spoke technology yield a wheel that is lightweight, stiff, and has excellent fatigue strength.
The AR1 is machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum. It is currently available in 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22-inch diameters with a range of widths and offsets. (Please Note: Depending on size, the AR1 may be available in deep, medium, or shallow concave profiles. See sizing chart for details.) And just like any Forgeline wheel, the AR1 is available with fully customizable finish options.
